These true left hand Wasa 8" nickel-plated sewing shears are made in the style of a tailor's shear but for more general sewing applications. They are appropriate for thicker materials or multi-layer work as well as general trimming. The bent handle is designed for cutting on a flat surface. One ring is larger than the other to allow a stronger grip for heavier cutting applications. "True" left-hand scissors have blades completely re-oriented for the lefty, as opposed to only contouring the handles for the left hand. The scissors are forged by Wasa in Solingen, Germany, which makes them strong but not bulky. Forging makes the metal harder so the scissors will stay sharp longer. The shears are nickel-plated on the handles and outer surfaces of the blades for many years of beautiful service. They measure 8" in total length. Imported directly from Wasa in Solingen, Germany.
