The
Gerber Pocket
Sharpener was rated "the best" of
its kind in 2001 in "The Best" column by Kirk Kandle in Louisville's Courier Journal.
Specifically, Kandle says that once you have a sharp edge on an knife, this
sharpener is the best at keeping that edge sharp. This
pocket sharpener is made by Gerber Legendary Blades
The two sets of ceramic sharpening rods are not aggressive, but rather for touching up. The coarse rods prepare the edge for further honing. The fine rods will restore a very sharp edge. The Pocket Sharpener is comfortable to hold, with depressions for the thumb and forefinger, and the rods are pre-set to an appropriate angle for sharpening. Handy and lightweight (less than an ounce), this pocket sharpener has a hole for a key chain, or tucks neatly in a pocket or purse. Made in the U.S.A.
