Wiss Taxidermy Scissors (also called Taxidermy Shears) have serrated blades for better grip of the material, and are sold widely for taxidermy use. These high-leverage shears are hot drop-forged of commercial finish solid steel, with nickel-plated blades and a black enamel handle.  Forging makes the metal harder so the scissors stay sharp longer.  They measure 8-1/2" overall. 

Since 1848, Wiss has manufactured a quality line of cutting tools in Statesboro, Georgia.  Wiss scissors and shears are extremely popular in garment, automotive trim and other sewing factories and are found in industrial applications everywhere.
