Kentucky Cutting Board with a Four Point Nautical Star

Kentucky Appalachian Maple cutting board with a beautiful hand-crafted Four Point Nautical Star inlay. The cutting board measures 8-3/4" x 10-3/4" x 1", and has a dark leather rawhide loop so it can be hung.  The stripes of the cutting board are Appalachian Maple and American cherry.  The four point nautical star inlay is American white oak and South American Purple Heart wood.  Kentucky Cutting Boards are created by craftsmen in Louisville, Kentucky.

Care and preservation of your Kentucky Cutting Board: Before first use, wash and rinse board well. After each use, wash normally using a sponge and detergent. To maintain the wood, occasionally rub mineral oil or salad bowl oil into the board with a soft cloth after washing. Store the cutting board in a ventilated place. Avoid closed storage, such as a drawer. Do not leave the board submerged in water. Do not dry the board in the sun, nor in a standing position inside the sink. Do not place the board in the oven or refrigerator. Never put this cutting board in the dishwasher. Although the inlaid side of your Kentucky Cutting Board is perfectly safe to cut and serve food on, we recommend that you cut on the alternate side, and use the design side for display in order to retain the beauty of the varied species of wood.
