This Gingher Gift Series two-piece set includes a dressmaker's shears and an embroidery scissors in a gift box. Both scissors have gold-plated handles and chrome-plated blades and are beautifully finished. The Gingher dressmaker's shears have knife-edge blades, which means the lower blade has been ground to a 40-45 degree bevel for a greatly enhanced cutting sharpness. They measure 8" in overall length. They come with a molded nylon sheath to protect the sharp blades, and are gift-boxed. These are bent (offset) shears, which are designed for cutting on a flat surface such as a table. They are appropriate for general dressmaking for all weight fabrics of natural and synthetic fibers. The 4" classic embroidery scissors have gold-plated handles and nickel-plated blades with fitted leather sheath for the sharp, well-made points which are excellent for detailed work. These Gingher scissors are forged, which makes the metal harder so the scissor stays sharp longer. They are assembled and finished in the United States.
