These Dovo pocket-style combination nail and cuticle scissors have a cigar cutter scoop in the handle. The metal sheath to protect the points also includes a double-cut metal nail file. The heavy screw gives strength for fingernails, and the thick blades "scoop" down to thin sharp narrow points for cuticle cutting. These scissors measure 3-1/2" in total length, and the blades cut 1". These scissors have large finger rings and are nickel-plated. The blades are not curved.
These scissors are forged by Dovo in Solingen, Germany. Forging makes the metal harder so the scissors stay sharp longer. (Inexpensive nail scissors are made from soft metal that will not hold an edge.) These quality scissors have a screw and are adjustable, and can be fine-tuned when that becomes necessary. (Inexpensive scissors are often riveted, and cannot be adjusted.) Imported directly from Solingen, Germany.
