This satin-finish, stainless steel Dovo thinning shear with 40 teeth has a Micro-Motion adjustable screw for correct cutting tension by the operator and is gift boxed. It measures 6-1/4" in overall length plus the 1/2" detachable finger rest. It has a rubber silencer stop between the finger rings, and it has black plastic finger ring inserts. Super-fine "V" notches on the end of the teeth allow for smooth, snag-free cutting. These good quality thinning shears can be recognized by the fine, exact equal angle cutting of the individual teeth, the equal distance between each tooth and by the even action (i.e., not too strongly curved and with a good support behind the screw.)

This thinning shear is forged by Dovo in Solingen, Germany. Forging makes the metal stronger so the thinning shears are strong but not bulky, and they will stay sharp longer. These thinning shears are stainless steel with a satin finish. They will not rust in moist conditions and can be sterilized. Autoclave sterilizer may be used. However, they might be more properly termed "stain resistant," since they could possibly stain under greatly adverse conditions. The stains are not rust, and will not affect their quality performance.

These Dovo thinning scissors measure 6-1/4" plus the 1/2" length of the detachable finger rest. Dovo calls this a 6-1/4" thinning shear. Dovo defines the length of a thinning shear depending on whether or not the finger rest is attached. If the finger rest is detachable, the length of the thinning shear does not include the finger rest. If the finger rest is attached as part of the hair shear, the total length is defined as including the finger rest.
