This nickel-plated Dovo hair shear measures 5". It is also an excellent mustache scissors. The edge of one blade is micro-corrugated with very fine (almost invisible) serrations to help hold the hair in position, enabling the blades to give a cleaner and better cut. One way to see if a blade is micro-corrugated is to run a fingernail very cautiously down the blade, feeling for the vibration of the serrations. A micro-corrugated edge is not as sharp as a razor-edge blade, but it is also much less delicate.
This hair scissor is forged by Dovo in Solingen, Germany. Forging makes the metal stronger so the hair shears are strong but not bulky, and they will stay sharp longer. This hair scissors is not stainless steel, and may eventually rust if kept in damp or humid conditions. It measure 5" in total length. It does not have a finger rest.
