Product Description:
Cook's fork with rosewood handle and stainless steel curved fork. Length is 13-1/2" overall, fork is 6-1/2". Wood handle is tightly secured to blade tang with compression rivets. The curved meat fork assists in carving and slicing and is also handy for transferring roasts and fowl from pan to carving board or platter. The term pot fork is traditionally used for a heavier curved fork. The straight meat fork is good for carving and slicing because you can see exactly where the tines are placed, but the straight fork is not so good for transferring roasts or fowl because the meat can slide off the straight tines. In almost any cutting procedure, the carving fork holds the food securely and protects fingers from sharp edges and hot food. The cook's fork is heavier than the carving fork. Dexter-Russell® Inc.
